As the first luxury hotel to appear in Bhutan, Amankora is a very special place and has featured in the Condé Nast Hot List.

Six nature-linked lodges nestle in a stunning Himalayan valley. The 72 suites feature natural rammed-earth walls, gently sloping roofs and wood-panelled interiors with king-size beds, traditional bukhari (wood-burning stove) and a large terrazzo-clad baths. Some feature daybeds with views over the courtyard and nearby Wangdicholing Palace and monastery. Others have views of the rice fields or nearby pine forest. There is a yoga suite too, and extensive spa facilities.
