Baghvan Lodge (part of Taj Group)is located on the edge of the Pench National Park one of Central India's lesser known reserves. It is a typical teak jungle that supports a rich variety of wildlife, including tiger, leopard, wild dog, chital and brilliant birds. This national park received international recognition from Rudyard Kipling's classic tale, the Jungle Book.

The twelve charming stand alone suites each has a contemporary bungalow feel with a 1950's ambience. The spacious suites comprise of two buildings, joined by a covered inter-leading link takes guests from their bedroom to a generously proportioned bathroom with twin basin,
separate w.c., and indoor and outdoor showers. Stairs lead guests up to a machan (a covered jungle rooftop platform) which is perfect for romantic sleepouts, complete with mosquito net. As well as enjoying afternoons by the swimming pool, reading in the library or undertaking cookery classes in the kitchen using the traditional recipes and spices provided, guests can have ayurvedic treatments in their rooms.

In May 2007 Baghvan was mentioned in the Conde Naste Traveller (US) 2007 Hot List of the Year's 138 Top New Hotels. The lodge was also highlighted among the magazine's choices for the top 5 hotels in India.
