Hatari Lodge is a luxury ‘bush hotel’ located at a malaria-free altitude on the northern edge of Arusha National Park, with unspoilt views of lakes and craters, magical rainforests, Mt Kilimanjaro and the dormant volcano Mount Meru.

The lodge consists of three buildings among acacia woodland – the former home of actor Hardy Kruger and the setting of the classic movie ‘Hatari!’. Eight luxurious rooms have been lovingly decorated in retro 1960s and ‘70s style. Each room has its own open fireplace and spacious en-suite bathroom. The viewing platform onto the Momella swamps offers impressive views of Mt Meru, Mt Kilimanjaro and the surrounding wildlife. The oldest building serves as a large centred living and dining room where guests will enjoy delicious cuisine, a cosy lounge area, library and bar with a viewing deck.
