Jack’s Camp is located deep in the heart of the Kalahari Desert, on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Pans, the largest saltpans in the world.

Jack’s camp has ten permanent walk-in tents, each luxuriously fashioned in classic 1940’s style, offering en-suite bathrooms, indoor and outdoor showers, flush toilets, hot and cold running water and Persian rugs underfoot.

They also offer the best insight into the habitat of the Kalahari, with qualified zoologists and botanists on hand. A safari at Jack’s is the complete desert experience, focussing on desert-adapted wildlife as well as the geology, archaeology and anthropology of the Kalahari and Makgadikgadi. Quad bike excursions onto the vast salt pans (during dry season), walking with trackers a rare opportunity to see one of Africa’s most elusive carnivores, the brown hyena, are just some of the activities to be enjoyed while at this camp.
