Kulala Desert Lodge is a Vintage Wilderness Camp bordering the Namib Naukluft Park – perfectly placed for views of the famous red dunes of Sossusvlei.
Fifteen thatched and canvas chalets or ‘kulalas’ (Namibian for ‘to sleep’) are set on wooden platforms to provide maximum airflow. Rooftop terraces with bedrolls allow for a night beneath the stars if guests so wish. The main lodge, pub and dining area are decorated in North African style, has a plunge pool and wraparound verandah that overlooks the waterhole. Nature drives, game drives, walks and early morning ballooning are some of the activities on offer. |
