Rated as a ‘Classic Wilderness Camp’, the Xigera Camp occupies its own corner of the Moremi Reserve, far from any of the other camps.

Each of the eight guest rooms is raised off the ground on a wooden deck, offering a superb view of the seasonal floodplain and waterhole. Facilities are very plush, with en-suite bathrooms and an outdoor shower. Meals and evening drinks are enjoyed in the lounge, pub and dining area overlooking a permanently flowing channel, or under the stars in a traditional African boma.

Xigera is a delight for birdwatchers, with Pel’s Fishing Owl, African Skinner, Slaty Egret, Wattled Crane and a host of eagles and kingfishers to be seen. Good game includes antelope, lion, hyena and leopard. Enjoy walking safaris, mokoro trips, power boat outings and game drives in utter privacy. Sip your morning coffee as you watch the sun rise across the flood plain, then glide silently through the waterways on your mokoro, or head out into the Xigera Lagoon by power boat.
